As the grandson of the revered Don Manuel Loy, the visionary founder of Casa Loy Tequilera, Luis Loy carries forward a legacy built on more than 60 years of experience in the agave industry. To mark his first tasting tour of Hong Kong, he joins Rasheed to discuss the proud history of his family business, and share how inheriting entrepreneurship has shaped him. From walking the agave fields alongside his grandfather as a seven-year-old to taking his Tequila empire global three years ago, Luis’s story is the very definition of pride and passion.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Luis Loy is the third generation owner of Casa Loy Tequilera, a premium tequila house from Los Altos de Jalisco, Mexico. From childhood, he grew up with a strong awareness of the legacy that would be passed on to him, learning from his grandfather the value of hard work and doing things with mastery.
In his youth, Luis deepened his involvement by learning the full process of tequila-making from the traditional methods passed down through generations to the more modern techniques used across the industry. This hands-on path shaped his understanding of every stage of production and continues to guide his approach.
Casa Loy Tequilera is committed to creating authentic, additive-free, premium tequilas, each crafted to suit different budgets without compromising on quality. Today, the artisanal distillery proudly produces three distinct brands: Casa Loy, Taddel, and Tierra Zafiro, each reflecting a unique process and purpose.

We accept cancellations if notified via email at least 48 hours prior to the event start time, but refunds will exclude the non-recoverable transaction fee of 3.5% of the ticket price plus HK$2.5. Depending on the event, there may be an option to transfer the ticket to another event.
